Tigers in the Wild
(Completes several requirements of “Tigers in the Wild” & “My Tiger Jungle”

This program is perfect for Tiger cub scouts who are working towards their “Tigers in the Wild” or “My Tiger Jungle” badges as it completes several requirements from both. Scouts will learn about local wildlife through a taxidermy scavenger hunt, go on a one foot hike and look and listen for evidence of wildlife as they hike the trails around the Conservancy’s building. Completes requirements #1,2,5 of “Tiger Jungle” and #2,4,6 & 7 of “Tigers in the Wild” in a 90 minute program.

Fee: At the Conservancy: $10 per scout (minimum $120)


Bear Cub Scout Wildlife Walk
Completes requirements 1 - 6 of “Fur, Feathers and Ferns” Badge

Designed to meet the requirements of the Fur, Feathers and Ferns badge, bear scouts will love this active outdoor program. After a brief introduction to the mission of the Conservancy, scouts will depart for a one mile hike on the Conservancy grounds. During the hike scouts will use a scavenger hunt to looks for signs of wildlife, use magnifiers to look at plants up close and use binoculars to observe wildlife from a distance. A stop at the Conservancy’s compost bins will teach about composting. Scouts will also learn about an animal that has become extinct recently and another that is endangerd. Two hour program.

Fee: At the Conservancy: $12 per scout ($120 minimum)


Super Sensory Night Hike- For Tigers through Webelos

This time of day holds some unique surprises for us!   Use all your senses to move through the night with a Conservancy Hike Guide in this ninety minute program.   Beginning at twilight, we will explore the world of nocturnal animals and find out what adaptations we have that make hiking at night such a wondrous adventure!

Fee at the Conservancy: $10 per scout ($100 minimum)
