Outdoor Art Program
(Completes both Daisy and Brownie Badges)
Nature is full of beauty and inspiration for art! We will look for colors, patterns and shapes and listen for sounds in our walk around the Conservancy grounds, make some outdoor art of our own and learn how to “leave no trace”. Ninety minute program offered April-November. The program completes the requirements of the Daisy Outdoor Art Maker Badge and the Brownie Outdoor Art Creator Badge.
Fee: At the Conservancy: $10 per scout (minimum $100)
Brownie Girl Scout Bugs Badge Program
(Completes Badge)
Learn more about the fascinating world of insects and earn your Brownie Bug badge! Take a look at insect homes, go a on an insect hunt and make a bug craft. Complete requirements for Badge in 1.5 hours at PWC (available April - October). Post-Trip pamphlets included for each scout.
Fee at the Conservancy: $10 per scout (minimum $100)
Brownie Girl Scout Wonders of Water Journey Program
(Completes most of journey)
This four hour program will complete most of the water journey requirements. Girls participate in a variety of activities helping them gain an understanding of the importance of clean water and the need for conservation. Program includes a trip to the East Branch of the Perkiomen creek! 4 hour program at PWC (available April - October)
Fee at the Conservancy: $20 per scout (minimum $200)
Junior Girl Scout Animal Habitats Badge Program
(completes requirements 1-4)
Learn about local wildlife with this fun, hands on program. See and touch taxidermy specimens of local wildlife, explore an aquatic habitat and learn more about a habitat in danger. Complete most of the requirements for this badge in 2.0 hours at the Conservancy. Post-Trip pamphlets included for each scout.
Fee at the Conservancy: $12 per scout (minimum $120)
Cadette Girl Scout Trees Badge Program
(completes requirements 1-4)
Identify trees on the Conservancy property, visit our pawpaw orchard, make a tree craft and learn more about the importance of trees in keeping our waterways clean. Two hour program offered at the Conservancy April - October.
Fee at the Conservancy: $12 per scout (minimum $120)
Super Sensory Night Hike! For Brownie and older Girl Scouts
This time of day holds some unique surprises for us! Use all your senses to move through the night with a Conservancy Hike Guide. Beginning at twilight, we will explore the world of nocturnal animals and find out what adaptations we have that make hiking at night such a wondrous adventure!
Fee at the Conservancy: $10 per scout ($100 minimum)
Senior Paddling Badge
Learn all about Canoeing, Kayaking and Stand Up Paddle boarding (SUP) with the Conservancy, Learning all about the different paddling sports, understanding safety and techniques, and of course finish the day with a fun paddling adventure on Green Lane Reservoir.
