Perki-bay expedition

Description:
The Perki-Bay expedition is a 5-day canoe trip where members of our youth conservation program paddle the Perkiomen Creek from the Conservancy headquarters in Schwenksville to the cusp of the Delaware Bay. Our goal for this expedition is to highlight the Perkiomen Creek’s official designation as a new Pennsylvania State Water Trail and to generate increased community support for the protection of the creek.

About Perkiomen Watershed Youth Conservation Corps
The Perkiomen Watershed Conservation Corps (PWCC) program is a youth-based program dedicated to furthering the Perkiomen Watershed Conservancy’s mission of protecting the watershed’s land and water resources. Members help achieve this mission while cultivating their own conservation and community engagement skills through the participation in hands-on service learning opportunities.

The PWCC program cycle is six months, running from January - June each year.
