Lenape "Solo" Challenge!
An unprecedented show of enthusiasm has brought the registration period for the
Lenape "Team" Challenge to a close just three weeks after it opened!
This is bad news. However... there is some good news!
Due to the overwhelming popularity of the event and the that fact that many long-time "Challengers" were unable to register, we have decided to open a solo category for this year's event!
*The Lenape "Solo" Challenge will take place at the same time as the Lenape "Team" Challenge on Saturday, April 21, 2018. Solo Challengers will follow the same course as Team Challengers; however, instead of canoeing down the Perkiomen, Solo Challengers will kayak down the Perkiomen! Space is limited for this pilot category.
You and your teammate will start at the Conservancy's Brownstone Barn and enjoy a mighty dash through the fields, woods and trails of Schwenksville to Spring Mountain. After scrambling up the steep side of the hill, you'll run through a wooded mountain top path studded with diabase boulders. And with what's left in your legs you'll tackle the descent back down to the canoes.
Next you and your buddy are off to paddle hard for 2+ miles on the Perkiomen to the finish!
Are you in?
Registration fee includes:
- Canoe, paddle and life vest provided
- Lenape tech t-shirt
- Post race nosh
- Prizes awarded for Grand Champion plus top three finishers in each category.
- A zestfully good time
